Striking ‘Convair ’ swivel lounge chair designed by Oddmund Vad for VAD Trevarefabrikk, Norway, circa 1970s. This sculptural piece features an enveloping dark brown leather upholstery with deep button tufting and an extra-high backrest for enhanced comfort. The seat is supported by a distinctive rounded wooden frame and swivel base, evoking a Space Age aesthetic with Scandinavian warmth. There is a tiny, inconspicuous hole in the backrest just below the wooden rim, but it remains visually discreet. A rare and iconic design with timeless appeal.
