Elegant 1940s Scandinavian floor lamp manufactured by Nordiska Kompaniet (NK).
This refined two-shade floor lamp combines copper and brass elements with a beautifully shaped wooden handle section at the center of the stem, giving the piece a warm and balanced material contrast typical of high-quality Nordic lighting from the mid-20th century.
This lamp features two gracefully curved arms with adjustable gooseneck sections, each supporting an individual shade. Both light sources can be switched independently, allowing flexible lighting depending on the desired atmosphere or use. The shades are made of pleated cotton fabric with a satin-lined interior, producing a soft, warm diffusion of light that enhances the cozy character of the lamp. The base is executed in bronze with subtle decorative detailing, providing stability while maintaining the elegant proportions of the design. This lamp has been rewired in the 1980s, ensuring reliable electrical functionality while preserving its original aesthetic.
