A pair of solid oak Swedish office chairs from the 1940s, manufactured by SMV (Svenska Möbelfabrikerna i Bodafors). These elegant functionalist chairs feature their original brown leather upholstery, beautifully aged with a warm, natural patina that enhances their vintage charm.Both chairs are height-adjustable, equipped with a solid metal mechanism that remains fully functional and operates smoothly. The mechanical parts, including the spring tension system and swivel base, are made of cast iron and show high-quality Swedish engineering from the period.The seats and backrests are made of oak with a lovely warm tone and subtle grain pattern. The chairs stand firmly on four splayed oak legs, ensuring stability and balance.These pieces are in good original condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use, and an attractive patina to both the leather and wood.
