Elegant Swedish lounge chair dating from the 1940s, displaying a graceful combination of Swedish Grace proportions and subtle Art Nouveau influences.
The chair feature gently curved back, softly rounded armrests and generous seat, creating an inviting and comfortable silhouette. It’s sculptural form is complemented by tapered wooden legs, giving the design a balanced and refined appearance.
The chair was re-upholstered during the 1970s in a high-quality jacquard fabric with an elaborate floral pattern. The warm cream background is decorated with flowers and foliage in shades of red, green, blue and ochre, adding a rich decorative character while remaining elegant and harmonious.
Decorative piping follows the contours of the chair and emphasizes it’s flowing shape. The combination of the expressive floral textile and restrained Scandinavian form gives the chair a distinctive and timeless presence.
